Milepost. Dated 1834. Cast iron. Circular section shaft with
enlarged head divided into 3 panels. Inscriptions: Top of Head:
"JAMES BASSETT ASHBOURNE 1834"; Left Hand Panel: "LEEK / 13 / MILES;
Right Hand Panel: "ASH.. / 2 / MILES". Shaft "LONDON 141 MILES."
