House in row. Mid C19 refronting of C16 or C17 house. Flemish
bond brickwork facade, timber-frame with brick nogging to rear
wings, tile roofs, brick stacks.
3 storeys and basement, 3-windowed. 4-pane sashes with flush
chamfered stone lintels, stone cills. Ground floor has C19
shop front in fluted pilasters with decorative consoles and
moulded cornice above fascia, central recessed glazed door. To
the left a doorway to throughway, with pilasters and consoles
as part of shop front. 3-course rendered painted band above
first and second floors, with rebuilt coped parapet. The back
has a steep-roofed timber-framed wing with a large ridge
stack, and a further gabled 2-storey extension, a former
cottage, also with steep tiled roof and a cropped ridge stack.
