Pair of attached houses. c1800. Render with limestone
dressings, brick party wall stacks and slate half-hipped
mansard roof. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style. Each of
3 storeys, attic and basement; 1-bay range. Pilaster strips to
a moulded coping; raised outer doorways have consoles to flat
canopies, rectangular overlights, No.4 with a metal batswing
fanlight, and 6-panel doors, the upper 4 raised. Canted
3-storey 3-light bays, No.4 with 8/8-pane and flanking
4/4-pane sashes, and a single 6/6-pane basement sash,
plate-glass to No.5. 2 dormers to No.5 and 1 to No.4. INTERIOR
not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached wrought-iron
front basement area railings and gates with urn finials, and
capped banded piers.
