House. C17 or earlier (1666 datestone). Solid rendered front
wall; stone rubble right gable wall. Slated roof. Stone rubble
chimney on right gable end. 2 storeys. Irregular front: ground
storey with centre doorway flanked by 2 windows on each side,
upper storey with 3 windows, erratically placed. Ribbed plank
door with lion-head knocker; bead-moulded frame. Ground storey
windows have 3-paned sashes in recessed box frames. Upper
storey windows have 2-paned sashes in concealed frames, their
heads rising above eaves level and gabled. Between the 2
left-hand upper storey windows a granite shield incised with
date 1666 and initials SB.
