Former manorial barn in course of conversion to a dwelling at time of
inspection. Mid C16. Timber frame. Steeply pitched hipped roof. Cladding
removed. 5 bays. An added central gabled midstrey towards road flanked by
later lean-to outshuts. Interior: close studding without mid rails, reverse
curved braces in walling, double arched braces from jowled posts to cambered
tie beams, lower purlins are clasped by lower collars and halved principals,
arched windbraces; on lower collars are jowled queen struts to upper collars
which clasp upper purlins, arched braces from queen struts to upper purlins
and collars.
