SY 49 NE NETHERBURY STRONGATE LANE

7/162 Strongate Farmhouse

II

Detached Farmhouse. Early C18. Rubble-stone walls, one brick
sleeper buttress at right hand front. Thatch roof with gable ends.
Brick stacks at left and right hand gables. 2 storeys. 3 windows,
3-light metal casements with lead lights. Wooden cills. Stone
arch-voussoirs over. Outshut under a continuous catslide thatch roof.
(Dairy and cheese loft). Front door at centre, plank, C19. Brick
porch with a pentice slate roof, C19. Plain entrance. Interior:
fireplace with brick jambs and a wooden lintel over, C18.
