Millhouse. C17 and probably earlier timber frame. Plaster with
some pargetting, painted brick base. Plastered N range added
late C18. Two and a half storeyed S front is irregular, 5
windows. 3 linked, projecting, gable ends towards E, easternmost
a mid-C17 stairwell. A half-hipped W gable is near a mid-C17
chimneystack of square and diagonal shafts. C17 and C18 leaded
casement windows in groups of 2 to 6, including 1 central dormer.
Modern roughcast Ground floor window bay on W. N front is 5
windows, 2 storeys, symmetrical. Central, pilastered, open-
pedimented doorcase with Adam style, leaded fan. 1st floor,
flush, 6/6, sash window; dentil eaves cornice. Modern Ground
floor roughcast, square, sash window bays. Whole house with
timber frame E kitchen block. Interior of S range has chamfered
and stopped beams and joists to Ground and upper floor rooms and
scratch moulded panelling to Ground floor. Upper, central, 1st
floor room has running plaster decoration on beam and over
fireplace, the latter with 'EH, 1641' date plaque. Stairwell has
flat, scroll profile, C17 balusters to top floor.
