Farmhouse. Probably late C17 with late C18 alterations. Cob faced with
coursed rubble sandstone. Pantile roof. Brick stacks. Originally,
single-cell, direct-entry plan with opposed doors, and rear outshut.
Later extensions to left and right. One-and-a-half-storey, 2-window
front. Stone steps to plank door to left of centre. 2-light horizontal
sliding sashes with glazing bars throughout, except for upper left
3-light sliding sash with glazing bars. Inserted herringbone-tooled
keyed lintels to all lower openings. Coped gable walls, moulded
kneelers and end stacks to steeply-pitched roof. Interior: exposed
square-section beams to ground floor rooms. The owners say there is a
cruck in the roof.
