House with shop. Probably late C18 or early C19, although it
may incorporate part of the original house of 1697. Solid
rendered front. Slate roof. Old red brick chimney on left
gable-end. 3 storeys; 3-window range. Ground storey completely
altered with mid or late C20 shop front. Upper storeys have
barred sash-windows: 6 over 6 panes in second storey, the
outer windows triple-sashed with 2-panel side-lights, 3 over 3
panes in third storey. Small boxed eaves-cornice.
INTERIOR: only stair compartment in rear right-hand side
inspected. Wooden geometrical stair with thin square
balusters; balustrade voluted at bottom. Moulded cornices at
the landings.
