Inn. Probably C16, extended at rignt end in C17, but very possible earlier fabric
concealed. Rendered stone rubble and cob. Thatch roof, hipped to short rear wing
and small single-storey outbuilding attached to front right end. Rendered stone
rubble stack across rear left-hand angle. Axial brick stack (formerly gable end) and
brick stack at right end.
Plan: early core apppears to consist of larger heated room to right with direct
entry, with 2 smaller rooms to left, the smaller middle room divided by axial
passage with staircase at rear of passage. C17 extension of one room plan at right
end. Short 2 storey service wing to rear left end and small single storey
outbuilding attached to front right end.
Exterior: 2 storeys. 4-window range. Principally C19 fenestration intact, all 2
light casements to upper storeys, 3 light casements to ground floor. 2 plank doors
and blocked door to left end.
Interior: brief inspection suggests interior is largely unspoilt with good quality
chamfered and stopped beams and fireplace lintels to the principals rooms. Roof
deserves thorough inspection.
