House, formerly school master's house. 1869s. Grey limestone rubble with red brick
dressings ; slate roof, gabled at ends with deep eaves ; end stacks with brick
shafts, the left end stack with a dismantled shaft. Gothic.
Plan: L plan, the 2 blocks roofed at right angles to one another with an entrance in
the angle between the blocks. C20 rear additions.
Exterior: 2 storeys. 1:1 window asymmetrical front, gabled to the front at the left,
set back to the right with a gabled dormer to the front ; lean-to porch hood in the
angle with timber shaped brackets. C19 half-glazed front door. C19 2- and 3-light
transomed window with depressed 2-centred arch timber casements.
Interior: Not inspected.
Group value with the Church of St Pauls (q.v.) and Starcross Primary School (q.v.).
