Detached house. Late C16. Probably cob on stone footings, roughcast. Pantiled
gabled roof. A small 3-room, cross-passage plan house. 1½-storeys.
Front: scattered fenestration; 1 low, 4-light upper window breaking eaves line,
with three 2-light windows to ground floor, all casements late C20. Wide planked
door to passage.
Rear: large rear external lateral stack (heats hall) with 2 pairs of set-offs; three
3-light raking half dormers, 3 to ground floor (one, 2, and 3-lights) and French
window: all late C20.
Interior: remains of a plank and muntin screen to higher end of passage, chamfered,
with cranked arched doorway surround; the screen no longer extends the entire width
of the house. Deeply chamfered cross beam. Rear fireplace renewed. 3 jointed
crucks, morticed and pegged at apex, collars pegged and morticed all clean.
