Barn approximately 40 metres
east of Dornaford Farmhouse
GV
II
Barn. C16 or early C17. Cob walls. Gable ended corrugated iron roof. Long
rectangular plan with off-central threshing floor and separate animal house at left-
hand end. Single storey. Asymmetrical front with cart entrance to right of centre
and small window to left of centre. Leanto built against right-hand side.
Interior: the original roof trusses survive consisting of side-pegged jointed
crucks with high morticed cranked collar.
This is a relatively unusual survival of an early agricultural building complete
with its original roof structure.
