Gate piers and flanking walls at entrance to The Manor Office qv. Circa late C19.
Rock-faced granite brought to course with dressed granite copings and dressed granite
gate piers.
Plan : cyma-on-plan walls flanking central entrance with rebated square-on-plan gate
piers. There is a smaller gateway on the left.
The walls are ramped for slope of land. The gate piers are in a debased classical
style: chamfered plinths, moulded square column bases; short fluted column shafts
with string cornices and caps with flutes and egg and dart cornices surmounted by
ball on leaf finials.
