Bank. c1920. Brick faced with sandstone. Slate roof. Classical
style.
Single storey. Corner site with arched and moulded entrance
door in splayed corner, the jambs with palmette relief
carving. 2 bays to east return, 4 to north return, each arched
window with margin glazing framed by Roman Doric engaged
columns standing on continuous plinth. Plain architrave,
mutulated cornice and parapet balustrade. Centrepiece over
doorway in form of blank panel framed with carved inverted
consoles rising to segmental capping cornice. Hipped roof.
INTERIOR: banking hall with original timber counter enriched
with eared fielded panels and scrolled consoles. Plank dado
panelling to rear wall separated from counter by timber
partition screen fitted with drawers.
