Detached cottage, formerly called Denis's Farmhouse. Possibly early C16, with later
extensions and alterations. Plastered cob, stone footings, the rear wall rebuilt in
brick, gabled-end thatched roof. 3-room, cross-passage house with C19 and C20 extensions,
to both right and left. 1 1/2-storeys.
Front: the old cottage; 2-window range, upper 2-light windows under eyebrow eaves; porch
under catslide glazed, with 2 and 3-light window to either side, the latter with a C19
casement. C20 3-light window to right-hand extension, with lean-to conservatory at end.
Rear: upright support of jointed cruck visible in rebuilt rear wall. Interior not
inspected, but the occupier believes the roof to be smoke-blackened.
