4/152 West Tosberry Farmhouse and
adjoining barn to north

GV II

Farmhouse with attached barn. Circa late C18 with C19 addition. Rendered stone
rubble walls with some cob to barn. Gable-ended slate roof. 2 brick gable-end
stacks - the left-hand one rendered, and one at left end of rear parallel range.
Plan: original range is at the front consisting of 2 heated room, the left-hand one
sligntly larger, with a central entrance hall. Rear parallel range added in circa
mid C19 as service rooms. Barn attached at right-hand end probably dates from late
C18 or early C19 and has a roundhouse at the rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Regular 3-window front of original 12-pane hornless sashes (4
panes wide). Central late C19 or early C20 gabled porch with C20 plank door. Long
lower barn at right-hand end with doorway to left and octagonal roundhouse at rear.
Interior: not inspected.
