Irregular 3 storey and 2 storey plastered front. Structure may be earlier than
C17. Three gables at different levels. Part of ground floor projects with penthouse
roofs to Nos 72 and 73. C18 sash windows and wood casements. Remains of circular
stone pier on left hand side of yard entry. Part of this timber framed structure
is probably C16. Four windows to whole. No 72 has two tripartite sashes on the
ground floor, No 73 has a small paned shop front. Panelled screens passage through
No 71. Tarred slate roof. Large stack.
All the listed buildings in Fore Street form a group.
