House. Probably early C18, interior largely C20. Whitewashed rendered cob on stone
rubble ; asbestos slate roof (formerly thatched), half-hipped at ends ; end stacks.
Plan: Single depth plan, 2 rooms wide with a central passage containing a C20 stair,
the stair formerly rose against rear wall of left hand room.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay front with regular fenestration and a central
front door with a porch canopy on moulded timber brackets. 2-light circa early C19
casement windows with small panes. The house is built on a sharply sloping site and
steps at the back lead up to the rear door of the passage.
Interior: Modernized in the late C20.
Prominently situated on a corner site at Ash Hill,- group value with Ashill Farmhouse
(q.v.)
