Cottage. Circa 1480. Timber framed and plastered with half hipped thatched
roof. Of one storey with attics and large thatched C20 extension behind north
west corner. Front has one gabled thatched dormer, one large half-hipped
thatched dormer and C20 thatched and half hipped enclosed porch. Windows are
C20 casements with leaded lights. Former 'in line' open hall with parlour bay
at west end and service at east. Traces of fixings for bench, baffle screens
and hood. Internally the exposed frame has jowled posts curved external bracing
and octagonal stop chamfered crown post with flattish profiled braces. Ends are
of interrupted tie-beam form. Inglenook fireplace has small ridge line stack
over.
