Barn. Late C15. 3-stead threshing barn. Weatherboarded timber
frame. Corrugated asbestos roof. One storey. Gabled transept
entrance to south fitted with double timber doors. Opposing
north doorway blocked with corrugated iron. C18 outshuts added
to south side under pantiled lean-to roofs. Main roof gabled.
INTERIOR: timber frame of heavy scantling. 4 bays. Tie beams
on early C19 knuckle braces, the braces replacing large arched
braces. Double queen post roof. Square lower queen posts with
arched braces to arcade plate and to upper tie beams. Upper
tie beams carry secondary square-section queen posts rising to
collars. Lower tier of trenched purlins, upper tier of through
purlins. Moor Hall Farm is not included.
