Late C18 and mid C19. Front of 3 storeys and 2 storeys. 3 storey portion in
ashlar with chamfered quoins, cornice and parapet. 2 windows, glazing bar sashes
in keyed openings. Modern shop front. 2 storey portion is in painted ashlar,
cornice, parapet, 2 windows to Cheap Street, glazing bar sashes. Splayed angle
and radiused return to King Street with 2 barred sashes. Modern shop fronts.
1850s extension to east. 2 storeys, ashlar on rusticated basement. Chamfered
quoina, rounded angle. Moulded band over ground floor, cornice and parapet 2 + 3
windows, right band one narrow, architraves on 1st floor, panelled architraves
with corner rosettes on ground floor. Aprons to windows. Keyed segmental headed
openings to basement.
