Milestone. Circa early C19. Stone. Semi-circular on plan with slanting top inscribed Southampton 33 and on the front Reading 13 and Basingstoke 3. The Basingstoke and Reading Turnpike was opened in 1718, and this is one of a series of milestones on the turnpike.
A good example of a circa early C19 milestone with a legible inscription.
