Sycamore Cottage

2 houses adjoining. Early C18. Painted rubble walls under graduated greenslate
roof with large central red sandstone chimney stack. 2 storeys, 3 bays each,
under common roof, Clematis Cottage at left, has central C20 plank door in
painted stone surround. C20 casement windows in original surrounds, that on
ground floor right retaining its flat stone mullion. Left single-storey,
single-bay pent extension. Sycamore Cottage at right, has off-centre plank door
in stone surround. Left 3-light flat stone-mullioned window under 2 2-light
similar windows. Right casement windows in similar painted stone surrounds but
these have probably been inserted into former stable or barn.
