4/14 Coates Barn

Barn, now a store. C17 and C18 with C20 alterations. Cruck and
box framing with brick nogging and corrugated iron roof. 4 bays.
East side has to left, a C20 close boarded door flanked to left
by a 2 light casement. To the right, a close boarded door. West
side has no openings and to right, 5 C20 brick buttresses. Each
gable has a pair of crucks, that to the south with V struts.
Interior has to south, a pair of re-used jowled posts with struts
to the tie beam and on the west side, struts to the wall plate.
Single purlin roof with a queen post truss and wind braces. To
north, beyond a partition, 3 pairs of crucks with collars and
saddles and single purlin roof with wind braces.
