17/353 Milestone Cottage

GV II

Pair of cottages, now one dwelling. Late C17/early C18, altered late C18 and
early C19. Large roughly-squared stone with long quoins and cut dressings;
Welsh slate roof, with C20 brick stack. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central pair of
doorways in raised stone surrounds; left boarded door, right partly blocked
with 12-pane Yorkshire sash inserted; similar window on left. Other windows
renewed 12-pane casements in old openings. Coped right gable with rebuilt
stack.

Taller 2-bay part to left is addition, altered and not of special interest.
