and outbuildings to east
GV II
House, dated 1683 with initials H.F. on fireplace lintel; outshut perhaps C18,
rear wing and outbuilding early C19. Squared stone with elongated quoins and
dressings, tooled and margined in C19 parts; slate roof. 6-panel door with
2-pane overlight in bay 2; late C19 sashes in older openings with trimmed-back
chamfered surrounds, except for blocked 1st floor window in bay 3. Steeply-
pitched roof, stepped brick end stacks. Returns each show a small attic window
with timber lintel and old frame with louvre grooves. Outbuilding to right has
late C19 sash set in earlier doorway; right return shows pitching door and open-
pedimented gable. Interior; fireplace at west end has dated segmental lintel.
