Milepost, probably early C20, by Smith Patterson Ltd. of Blaydon. Cast iron,
painted white with black figures. Shield-shaped plaque, with legend CORNHILL
20 MORPETH 24, set on circular shaft; lower rectangular plate with W (Wooler)
7 and maker's plate below. Overall height 0.7 metre.
