Stables and hay loft, original use uncertain, now
substantially rebuilt as house 1994. Late C18. Coursed local
gritstone, hipped stone slate roof destroyed by fire c1990. 2
storeys, 3 bays, central bay breaks forward and is gabled.
Outer bays each have a doorway in plain surround, left opening
enlarged, small round vent in pedimented gable. Rear: Doorway
left, square window right and 1st floor, centre. Square window
in plain surround in left return, added lean-to right.
Additional windows in 1994 conversion.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Part of an unusual group of canal-side structures possibly
linked with storage of goods transported by canal.
