Wall and railings to south side of
Abbey Square

GV II

Wall and railings. Railings probably late C19, wall older but
altered. Red sandstone and iron. The plinth to the railings is
weathered in 2 steps, the railing has dogbars and main rods
with fleur-de-lys and foliar heads. The plinth curves at its
west end to join the battered rock-faced retaining wall with 7
ashlar buttresses to the lower yard, south.
