Terraced houses. Early to mid C19. Stucco. Roof obscured by
gables and coping.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys over basement. 3-window range across 2
units. Gothic Revival style. The block is treated as 3 gabled
bays, with a carriageway in the centre. The centre gable has a
raised band on its face; finial to right gable, and floriate
crosses to centre and left. Carriageway is Tudor arched with
panelled spandrels, hood moulding and quoins to the jambs.
Above carriageway is a canted bay with a lean-to metal roof. A
2-storey canted bay to either side. All bay windows are flat
arched and tripartite. Quoin strips to the corners. The
first-floor moulded sill band is missing from the right-hand
gabled bay. Each second-floor window extends partly into the
gable above and has segmental-arched upper sashes set in a
flat-arched, chamfered surround, with quoin dressings and hood
moulding. Identical entrance to each carriageway return: flat
arched with overlight, hood moulding and chamfered jambs. Door
of original design to No.7, panelled in the form of a Tudor
arch. Stacks to party walls.
