18/03/97 3 chest tombs approx 15m. SW of S
porch of Church of St Michael and
All Angels

GV II

3 chest tombs. Mid C18. Brick and sandstone ashlar. Chests
alike: approx 2m x 1m x 1 m. Rectangular chests surmounted by
slabs with moulded edges. That to Samuel Fox, yeoman, d.1760
has 2 fielded inscription panels to sides. Also a chest to
Aaron Cox, yeoman, d.1764. Other chest has eroded inscription.
All the listed items in the Churchyard form a group with
Church of St Michael and All Angels (qv).
