GV II

House. Late C18 with C19 alterations and later additions and
alterations. Reddish brick in Flemish bond with gabled
plain-tile roof and cast-iron railings.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 5 first-floor windows arranged 2:1:2,
outer bays break forward; triple range to rear. Flight of 7
steps to central 6-panel door between glazed side panels, in
moulded wood doorcase with fanlight and C20 pedimented hood.
Canted bays to break-forwards have 6/6 between 4/4 sashes.
Moulded brick first-floor band. First floor has 6/6 sashes in
flush wood frames. Cambered brick arches throughout.
Brick parapet with stone copings, swept to break-forwards. End
stacks with cornices. Returns and rear facades have 6/6 and
8/8 sashes.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: railings to sides of steps have
square-section verticals.
