Clough Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse, now dwelling. Probably mid to later C18. Watershot
coursed sandstone rubble with quoins, the front painted white,
graduated slate roof. Double-depth plan, facing south. 2
storeys and 2 windows, almost symmetrical. Offset to the right
is an unusual wide gabled porch with a pair of square-headed
doorways protecting a doorway to the right and a square 6-pane
sashed window to the left. To left and right are similar
sashes on both floors. Gable chimneys. The rear has a
rectangular stair-window in the centre, a doorway and a square
window to the right and another above, all with altered
glazing. INTERIOR not inspected.
Forms a group with the barn approx. 4m to the north (qv).
Conspicuous feature of the view from Garsdale Station (not
included).
