Stables and carriage house immediately south of Ashley Court

Stables and carriage house. Probably mid C19. rubble walls
with brick arches; dry slate roof, hipped on the left.
Rectangular plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys including loft partly in roof space;
1-window range. Original windows: central 6-pane dormered
window breaking eaves and with shaped barge boards, other
6-pane window below and to the left and with hopper head. All
ground-floor openings are spanned by segmental arches; there
are 3 wide ground-floor doorways, 2 on the left and doorway on
the right under a deep slate-roofed canopy carried on wooden
brackets; ledged and braced doors.
INTERIOR: partly inspected to see original cast-iron and
planked loose box with ramped balustrades, turned corner piers
with ball finials and corner door with 2 chamfered panels;
brick floor.
Good group value with house and stables and overlooking a
cobbled yard.
