War memorial. c1920. Limestone. Square section entactic pier made of 4 stones on a circular plinth. Ogee-section base; top with one laurel wreath to each face, each in a segmental-headed field over a reeded base. Inscriptions as follows. East face: To the glorious/memory of the/men from these/works who fell/in the Great War/1914-19. Then 7 names recorded. North face: blank. West face: And to the memory/of those who whilst/serving their country/by making TNT /perished in the/explosion in these/works. January 19th/1917. 18 names appended. S face: Also/to the memory/of those who/fell in the/Second World War/1939-1945. 7 names engraved. The west face commemorates the 73 people killed in the Silvertown TNT factory explosion of 1917 caused by a fire which reached the explosives store.

The war memorial was moved to its current location in 2016.
