Two shops now offices. C17 origins, C18, altered C19. Painted
brick front, red brick to sides and rear. No.3 has green
pantile roof, No.4/4A has slate roof. Brick coped gables, 2
gable and single ridge stack.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys plus attics, 8-bay front, with moulded and
modillion eaves cornice. Two C19 shop fronts with pilasters,
brackets and cast-iron glazing bars to No 4. No 4 has glazing
bar sashes, No 3 has divided lights. To 1st floor 2 sashes to
left, a canted C19 flat-roofed oriel, a late C19 cross
casement, a small fixed light and 4 glazing bar sashes. To top
floor 8 sash windows. All sashes have flat brick wedge arches
with keystones. In the roof 2 gabled dormers with sashes, to
No 3. In the gable end, which is in English bond, a datestone
with partially legible date "166-".
