Description

Circa 1840-50. Symmetrical, single storey, 3-bay lodge.
Painted rubble, chamfered margins and hood-moulds. North
elevation: central panelled door, 12-pane sashes in outer
bays. Single window to either flank (that to west without
hood-mould). Central apex stack; piended roof with graded
slates. Modern addition to south.
Chamfered, square gatepiers; painted ashlar; corniced; Gothic
acanthus leaf finials on raised bases. Main gateway flanked
by similar piers to pedestrian ways; fine Gothic traceried
cast-iron gates with foiled, cusped and crocketed decoration.
