Description

Later 18th century, with later 19th century additions. Double courtyard plan. South range symmetrical with farmhouse at centre linked by screen-walls to gables of East and West range. Farmhouse: 3 bay, 2 storey and attic, coursed rubble with droved dressings, centre door with fanlight masked by modern porch, later 19th century advanced bay to right with canted bay window and piended roof. Slated roof with straightskews to front and crowsteps to rear, rectangular end stacks with cavetto cornices. Southgable of west range: rubble with drove dressings, centre (blocked) window. Straight skews and square ashlar end stack. South gable of East range similar, harled. Courtyard ranges of steading: single storey and single storey with loft over, segmental headed cart-sheds; mid and north ranges have central segmental headed pends. Rubble with droved ashlar dressings pantiled roofs. South courtyard partly infilled with later single-storey rubble and pantile ranges.
