Description

Later 19th century, style of A. Maitland. Gothic, stugged,
sneck coursed rubble, contrasting tooled ashlar dressings.
Imposing gabled south front with shallow gabled centre porch,
recessed pointed and moulded entrance, and large window
above with geometric tracery. Porch flanked by lancets, angle
pilasters terminating in pinnacles and by projecting canted
gallery stair bay to east and 5-stage octagonal tower with
spire to west. Tower has lancets in 3 lower stages; louvred
belfry openings extend through upper 2 and alternative with
flat buttress pilasters ending in pinnacles lucarnes in
facetted spire; weathervane.
