Description

Mid 19th century. Near symmetrical S facing U-plan stables

with cast-iron columned glass-roofed canopy linking outer

ranges. Single storey, loft opening in gables. Stugged and

snecked ashlar with polished dressings. Inner range has 3-bay coach-house with timber doors, central wallhead gable with

kneelers, oculus, and 2 bothy windows, N elevation with

bipartites at ground, ventilators in E gable; ranges each

have single bay to court. Projecting eaves; stacks with

diamond flues; axial ventilators; roofs covered with graded

slates.

Service courtyard E wall abuts one gable, courtyard entrance

between 2 tall square gatepiers.
