Description

Later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay house with 1 and 2-storey
wings to rear. Rock-faced coursed masonry with polished
margins and quoins. Main elevation with central doorway,
gabled timber half-porch resting on stone corbels. Flanking
door, bipartite windows that to left projecting. All other
windows single light, plate glass sashes. Cill band to 1st
floor, timber bracketted eaves. Piended slate roof, corniced
end stacks.

Statement of Interest

Former manse. Inventory p228 records 2 carved corbel stones

from Dundrennan Abbey inset in SW angle of stable block (not

seen).
