Description

dated 1903. Inn, decorated with renaissance ornament. 2
storeys with attic. Red ashlar (brick at rear). 3 bays at
pilastered ground floor, round-arched near-central doorway,
shop at left, public house with (?original) panelled timber
front, right. Pilastered cross-windows above, paired at 1st
floor, and with pedimented heads and scrolled supports to
wall-head dormers; central wall-head stack, end stacks;
steep-pitched gabled slate roof with leaded platforms.

Statement of Interest

Rebuilt on site of original Buck Inn, said to date from 1700,

and where Prince Charles Edward Stewart stayed in 1745.
