Description

Circa 1875, neo-Jacobean. 2-storey and attic symmetrical reversed plan semi-detached, ashlar fronted rubble built sides and rear.

Central curvilinear chimney gable over paired doorpieces with single light windows over, pair small arched lights in gable; canted bays through both floors left and right, fish-scale roofs bearing canted dormers with arched lights, front face of no 14 altered to square headed.

Single pane sashes, slated roof; end stacks.

Garden terrace fronted by gothic arcaded balustrade.

Low front retaining walls, high walls to Constitution Street, broken by garaging.

Statement of Interest

No 12 has been stonecleaned. Steps formerly flanked by conservatories, both demolished. B Group with 2-4, 6-10 and 16 Constitution Terrace, (see separate listings).
