Description

Built 2nd half of 19th century. Free-standing 2-storey
commercial and domestic block. Polished red ashlar. S
elevation (to High Street) has 2 altered shops at ground
4 mullioned windows at 1st floor, sashes with 4-pane
glazing; continuous cornice above ground floor. 5 (3+2) bays
to W flank door central in 3-bay part with depressed-arched
doorpiece, blind window above, astragals cut in stone.
Bracketted main cornice; corniced wallhead stacks; piended
slate roof. Plain rear wing (No 84A) incorporates earlier
fabric.
