James Bell, engineer, 1905. Single span shallow, segmental arched steel cable suspension footbridge. Red brick piers (inscribed 'Priorsford Bridge' at N pier) with sandstone coping; steel lattice finialled pylons and lattice parapet with curved ribs. Timber deck with asphalt coating.
The bridge was built by W Inglis of Tantah, and paid for by public subscription. It replaced an earlier one built in 1817 for Sir John Hay.
