Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay house in terraced street., with late 19th century shop at ground. Rubble whinstone, painted at ground, with red sandstone ashlar dressings, base, lintel, cill and eaves courses. Main dooe at centre flanked by shop windows; secondary door to flatabove to outer right. 3 regularly disposed windows at 1st floor. Plate glass glazing to 1st floor windows. Purple slates and regrettable modern dormers front and rear. Ashalr coped skew to right with scroll skewputt. 2-storey wing to rear with slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Listed despite dormer in hope of return to original roof form at some future date, in respect of dignified contribution of main building to the main street.
