Description

Later 19th century with later alterations and additions. 2-storey, 3-bay house, terminating terrace of lower ridge level (extending to E). Render-pointed rubble to N elevation with droved ashlar dressings; harled E elevation; squared and snecked sandstone with droved dressings to S elevation. Flush quoins.

N (NORTH STREET) ELEVATION: modern door to left of centre; half-level window to right of centre.

S ELEVATION: 3 regular bays to right. Window at ground and 1st floor of bay to centre and to right. Door at ground in bay to left, window at 1st floor above. Modern timber lean-to conservatory spanning bay to centre and to left.

4-pane timber sash and case windows; modern hopper window to N elevation. Slate roof with brick stacks. Timber snowboard at eaves to S to centre and in bay to left; later piended dormers in outer bays.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1995.

Statement of Interest

The house terminates a terrace made up of Langrig, Cheadle and Post Office (see separate listings), extending to E.
