Description

Early to earlier 19th century. Single and 2-storey, 7-bay (grouped 5-2), rectangular-plan, piend-roofed house. Dark whinstone rubble with contrasting dressed ashlar sandstone quoins and dressings.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 2-storey bays to left with 2-leaf panelled timber door to centre and 2 windows to flanking bays, regular fenestration to 1st floor; 2 bays (each with small window) to outer right beneath sloping roof. Modern porch to outer left.

W ELEVATION: ground floor obscured by modern extension, blinded window to right of centre at 1st floor, and further window to outer left.

E ELEVATION: door in projecting single storey bay.

4-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Coped ashlar wallhead stacks with cans (those to W polygonal), and ashlar-coped skews.
