Description

Circa 1770. Carved stone ornaments detached from formal Castle gardens.

URN (to E): square-section plinth and pedestal with cornice and stepped base giving way to urn carved with human masks, fruit and foliage.

URN (to SE): square-section plinth and pedestal with cavetto cornice and stepped base giving way to urn carved with bellflower swags, ribbons and paterae.

LIONS (to E and W): pair of lions sedant situated close to E and W Towers (listed separately).
